Onion and Tomato Masala 

INGREDIENTS

  • 400gms         Mix (Potato strips Carrot strips Capsicum strips  French bean strips )
     
  • 2 big            Onions  Sliced 
  • 3 no             Tomatoes cut into quarters
  • ½  tsp     Cumin seeds
  • 1/2 tsp     Turmeric seeds
  • 1 tsp            Coriander powder
  • 01 tsp          Red chilli powder
  • 1 tsp            Garam masala powder 
  • 2 tbsp          Oil
  • 3 no     Lemon juice 
  • Salt to taste
  • Ginger (finely chopped) : 

METHOD 



  1. Heat ghee / clarified butter in a thick bottom pan. Add cumin seeds and let it crackle.
  2. Add sliced onions and chopped ginger, sauté them nicely without coloring. Add turmeric, coriander and chilly powder. Fry for few seconds. Now add tomatoes. Potatoes, carrots, capsicum and French beans along with salt.
     
  3.  Simmer it till the vegetables are soft on slow fire, in between sprinkle little water if required and on. Add garam masala, lemon juice and mix well. Served hot
